Printmaking Workshops

We offer a number of workshops suitable for all levels, whether you wish to learn a new skill or improve your level. All workshops are beginner friendly.

Workshop summary

A comprehensive hands-on introduction to the enjoyable craft of relief printmaking through the medium of linocut. Everything you need to get started, including an overview of common printmaking techniques and consideration of media-appropriate designs and approaches.

ALL materials are provided with advice given on how you can continue your new hobby at home within a range of budgets. Home printmaking is possibly cheaper than you think!

The workshop will be delivered by a former Principal lecturer in Visual Communication, with a passion for creating craft-based visual design.

‘Can’t draw?’ No problem! The emphasis of the workshop is on the craft process of relief printmaking and you will be advised on how to select and utilise existing media-appropriate imagery. A selection of card designs will be available on the day for those that are more comfortable with this approach.
